Tim Ranf

President and CEO

Helena, Montana

 

As President and CEO, Tim is committed to providing opportunities for the company's employee-owners to enhance their communities, deliver superior service to clients, and create fulfilling careers. With 36 years of experience in consulting engineering, including 28 years at Pioneer, Tim has held various positions ranging from construction inspector to program manager, learning from diverse individuals along the way. His extensive knowledge and comprehension ensure that the company has a concise strategy and vision, while fostering an exceptional work culture. Tim holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Montana State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. His passion for environmental cleanup and restoration is evident in his career accomplishments. During his leisure time, Tim relishes spending quality time with his loved ones, exploring nature, travelling, and playing golf. He has a beloved wife and four adult children. 

Duane (Logie) Logan

Executive Vice-President and COO

Butte, Montana

 

With a strong focus on developing Pioneer's employees' talents and managing resources, Duane is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients. He earned a B.S. in Engineering Science with Plant and Welding Options from the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology (Montana Tech). Duane's 28-year career with Pioneer started as a construction inspector and has since lead staff and subcontractors on some of Pioneer’s largest remedial earth moving projects and construction of various treatment facilities. Outside of work, Duane manages his family's cattle ranch with his wife and son and is also a partner in a construction company with his brother and son. 

Shawn Bisch

Executive Vice-President and CFO

Anaconda, Montana

 

Shawn Bisch began his engineering career in 1989 after earning a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology (Montana Tech).  He started working at Pioneer in 1993 providing technical support for a wide range of environmental and engineering activities including multi-media characterization and site investigation, hazardous waste management, Hazard Ranking System scoring, preparing engineering evaluation/cost analyses and feasibility studies, mine reclamation and solid and hazardous waste landfill design, preparing engineering plans and specifications, construction management and project and program management.  With an affinity for business and finance, Shawn became Pioneer’s Chief Financial Officer in 2017.  In this position he oversees all aspects of corporate finance and manages the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan.  Shawn is married with two adult children and is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying all the outdoor activities that Montana has to offer.
