Foundation Inspection – Private Client

Pioneer was contracted by a homeowner to inspect the foundation and anchorage systems of an older manufactured home in Butte, Montana, in order to satisfy bank lending requirements. The inspection revealed that the perimeter foundation support was adequate but the interior supports did not meet the HUD and FHA criteria stipulated in the Permanent Foundation Guide for Manufactured Housing. The anchorage system was also inadequate. These observations along with recommended solutions were presented to the owner. A follow-up inspection was carried out after the deficiencies had been addressed resulting in a determination that the foundation and anchorage systems were in compliance with HUD and FHA guidelines. A report documenting the improvements was submitted by Pioneer resulting in the bank granting the loan.
